Social law is her second specialist field. In addition to this she has many years of experience as a mediator and has often ensured a profitable outcome for both sides even though the situation was highly intricate and apparently irredeemable. Susanne Cronauer studied law at the University of Freiburg and established her first law firm in 1987; she now shares this law firm with two colleagues.

Children suffer particularly when it comes to marriage conflicts. They often find themselves immersed in the dispute and are no longer able to understand their parents. It can be particularly tragic when they themselves become the subject of the disagreement and have to side with one parent. Susanne Cronauer makes particular efforts to ensure that such situations do not even arise or at least not allowed to develop further.

Her additional two year qualification as a mediator ("Rogerian Psychotherapy") helps in such situations to create an objective and emotional-free platform to enable a mutual solution to evolve.

It is essential to ascertain what wishes and expectations are most important to the clients and to what extent the wishes of the ex-partners are to be accommodated for. Similar to the mediation process, this method establishes a mutual platform for discussion to the benefit of all parties.

If, however, for whatever reason, a mutual path cannot be forged it is always Susanne Cronauer’s concern to accompany her client through the court hearing and to provide them with the necessary support so that they emerge from the process unscathed and with a positive prognosis for the future.
